About the Company

The company uses IoT, Robotics, ML and AI and has aimed to become a new tech company. They have designed a robot, which has a display on its stomach, acting as a kiosk for multipurpose tasks. The prototype built by them can be used for engagement in hospitals, advertisements in malls and for many use cases in airports. It identifies emotions, people and can be used for human interactions. This prototype built by them has already been used by several market places. Infact, their main purpose is to educate students in schools and colleges, teaching them about new age technology according to the new syllabus. However, their business model was not that clear to the sharks, the problem that they view to solve is not that concrete.

Past performance of the Company

They are still working on the prototype, thus having made nil sales. They’ve decided to sell the robot at a price of Rs. 6 lacs.

Industry Overview

The sector which is talked about here has been a developing sector for quite some time now. With the increasing use of technology in almost every aspect of life and business, the robotics and automation sector has shown its potential. Use cases of robots like this have increased manifold. This is the reason that several Governments as well as private-public companies have taken initiatives for its growth. Supply side issues were a major reason for disruption of its market in Covid. Apart from that, high costs of deployment and interoperability issues can be serious restraints to the sector.
But, its noteworthy that this company wants to take up robotics for educational purpose of the students, getting them aligned to the new syllabus. This area is not much explored and thus can attract good audience.
