Flagship Event 2022

The Xavier’s Finance Community is proud to have hosted the Flagship Event 2022 of the community is a hybrid mode. An event, the first leg of which took place in an online mode, where participants participated from the comfort of their homes, brought the participants to the finance lab of the college to win the second leg!

It was an absolute treat to see the participants back in a room together fighting eye-to-eye for their position on the top! The major event organized by the community are as follows-

Bullpen

The Stock Pitch Event is for young finance enthusiasts to showcase their analytical and presentation skills. It is a national-level event with finalists travelling to St. Xaviers from different colleges across India. They presented their investment ideas on publicly traded companies in front of a panel of judges.

With over 200 participants competing in the online battle in the first leg of the flagship event of the XFC, the participants who had shown that they possess the requirement for the event travelled for an epic battle of pitches and emerged victorious.

Monopolise

Monopolise is an engaging event that challenges participants to present their innovative ideas to a panel of judges. This 3-day competition includes an auction, a business pitch, and an investment round, all aimed at evaluating financial prowess, strategic thinking, and creativity. Those participants who meet the event’s requirements emerge as the victors, showcasing their skills and determination in the process. Monopolise is not just a competition but a platform for participants to learn and grow as entrepreneurs in a competitive environment.

Game of Trades

This college circuit hosts the most remarkable Stock Market Simulation, setting itself apart by ensuring a completely manipulation-free environment, both by participants and event management. At the core of this event is an in-house developed market simulation model, meticulously crafted using the power of Google Suite and automated with Python. This unique model serves as the heart and soul of the competition, providing an authentic and reliable experience for all involved.

The Stock Market Simulation offers participants a realistic and risk-free opportunity to hone their investment skills, apply their financial knowledge, and make strategic decisions in a controlled yet dynamic environment. It not only showcases the dedication to integrity and innovation but also serves as a valuable educational tool, bridging the gap between theoretical learning and practical experience in the world of finance. Through this event, students gain hands-on exposure to market dynamics and develop a deeper understanding of trading strategies, portfolio management, and risk assessment.
